Local doctors will be forced to step up their game if they plan to receive a positive assessment from Health Minister Jerry Narace
Yesterday the Minister confirmed soon local practitioners will be graded on their performance
His comments come in light of reports that South doctors were not performing too well
However the move is being heavily criticised by the Medical Professional Association

His comments come as only recently Media reports revealed some doctors at the San Fernando General Hospital did not do well in a mandatory evaluation…
However, the Medical Professional Association argues the move was made in a high handed manner.
Former President of the Association, Colin Furlonge says while he agrees with the new initiative… he warns there is need for consultation on the matter.
In response… Minister Narace assures he is open to the idea
He says talks would be carried with the relevant stake holders.
