People going to Point Fortin for Borough Celebrations over the weekend can expect tight security proper parking, transportation and other facilities according to officials.
In an interview with News Power this afternoon, Deputy Mayor of the Borough, Marlon Richardson said the thousands expected will be accommodation in a safe environment.
He said police and army officers would be out in their numbers to ensure law and order is maintained and the celebrations flow without interruptions.
He said the event is growing and is making an impact internationally.
Mr Richardson who is also the chairman of the cultural committee of the Borough said the group is working hard at keeping the event of a high standard.
The Deputy Mayor said there is need for the government to be more involved in the celebrations.
