Opposition MP Kelvin Ramnath walked out of the Lower House this afternoon, after being warned by Speaker Barendra Sinanan about his outbursts in parliament.

Opposition Leader Basdeo Panday is still on suspension from the Lower House for unauthorized use of his laptop.

The incident occurred while Caroni East Mp Dr. Tim Goopeesingh was making his contribution to the debate on rising food prices.

Mr. Sinanan rose to caution Dr. Goopeesingh on making repeated statements about state-owned contracting firm UDECOTT, during the food price debate.

But first, the Speaker decided to warn Mr. Ramnath on making outbursts during the debate.

It was then, the Couva South representative decided to make an exit, saying he refused to be a PNM stooge.
