Panmen are still awaiting their prize money from Carnival 2008….

And they believe the absence of a National Carnival Commission Board is responsible for the delay.

Pantrinbago President Patrick Arnold says since March 31, the NCC has been without a Board.

He says panmen are frustrated they have not received the 1.3 million dollars owed to them.

Arnold says unfortunately culture is being given a raw deal.

And with Carnival 2009 fast approaching, Arnold says the Organisation can find itself in the same position.

Meantime Executive Member of Pantrinbago Michael Joseph wants the money offered to panmen to increase from one thousand to 3 thousand dollars

And he’s calling on Culture Minister Marlene McDonald to do the right thing.
