Yesterday’s earthquake…which followed another only 1 week before…has caused some citizens to worry
But The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre …is assuring there’s no need for panic
Yesterday’s quake …which measured 5.6 on the Richter scale … occurred at 2:34 in the morning.
It originated east of Trinidad …and with a depth of 54 kilometers, it was reportedly felt in the Port of Spain area.
So far there’ve been no reports of damage or injuries as a result of the quake.
Last week’s quake measured 4.6 on the Richter scale.
Stacey Edwards …of the Seismic Research Centre tells the nation… this activity is normal...even though it appears otherwise
And Ms Edward also spoke of the importance of being aware… of the damage which can be caused by natural disasters.
